The PD715EX is an ATEX digital two way radio from Hytera. Built to the highest safety standards, this radio is certified to EU standards for gas, mining and dusty working environments. IP67 protection means that the NX-PD715EX has a complete Ingres protection against dust, whilst also being able to be immersed in water up to 1 meters deep for 30 minutes. This alongside being built to Military Standards (MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F) with the radio being put through a variety of tests in tough operating conditions.
GPS is installed as standard with the PD715EX, this allowing for the radio to make use of such safety features as Man Down. This uses a GPS location system to locate the users radio when it has been laid on it's side for a pre-set period of time, helping to aid anyone who may have been knocked unconscious or become trapped in their place of work. Lone Worker works similarly, whereby if a radio is inactive for a set period of time then the radio will send out a distress signal.
An 1800mAh Li-Ion ATEX battery is supplies with the PD715EX, this will allow for up to 17 hours of use when in digital mode. This radio has 3 programmable buttons allowing for customization for the users working needs, a simplistic design but should a radio with a keypad and screen be required take a look at the Hytera PD795-EX.
